Flintwork - Flintknapping
Witold Migal – experimentator with flint
Flint products of Funnel Beaker Culture people from the sites in Ćmielów and Gródek by the Bug river have macrolitic character, which developed under the influence of people from Trypillian culture. Advanced flint technique was based mainly on the production of big flint turnings. The material that was most often used by these people was flint from Wołyń and Świeciechów. Ćmielów production was based on the material from Świeciechów, whereas Gródek production was based on the material from Wołyń. As far as the settlement in Gródek is concerned, imported half - finished products from Świeciechów flint functioned as a supplement. In the case of Ćmielów settlement it was similar, here the half - finished products from Wołyń flint were the supplement.
